Sandra Asgeirsdottir Sminka

Sandra María Ásgeirsdóttir is a freelance makeup artist based in Reykjavik, Iceland. Available for weddings, special events, photoshoots, commercial, TV/film. She has been a working makeup artist for three years, although her experience goes back further. During that time she has worked on commercials, keyed a feature film and shorts. She also has great experience working on photoshoots, for magazines, campaigns and private clients.

Her work includes feature film Grimmd, a number of commercials and short films and has also appeared in magazines such as The New Issue and on the cover of Shutter magazine. She started her education in 2013 with courses at London College of Fashion in Hairstyling and Fashion and editorial makeup. From that moment there was no turning back. She continued her education in Reykjavik Makeup School and has attended many other makeup courses since, specializing in makeup for film & TV, fashion and beauty.

During her time as a working makeup artist she has continued her education by attending masterclasses and lectures by other working artists in the industry. It is her belief that you are never done educating yourself, as there is always new techniques and technology in makeup.
