She relocated to Los Angeles in 2005, where her fashion background and flawless approach to detail has allowed her to harvest a portfolio of clients that encompass record companies, ad agencies, photographers, still producers, and recording artists. Background

Make-up artist Jo Baker has been working in the industry for 15 years. At 19, Jo started out doing make-up for London and Paris fashion weeks. Jo attracted much attention working for InStyle, Celine and LVMH. Her creative London Fashion background has heavily influenced her style and approach.

Born and bred in London, Jo, got her big break in London in 2003, when Usher hired her as his makeup artist. He was so impressed with her work that he booked her- for months in advance, also designed and executed both Usher and his dancers looks for his world tour- taking her to Europe, Japan, Australia, America and Korea. At just 24 years of age, her life changed forever, Jo had become an unstoppable creative makeup genius. Jo relocated from London to Los Angeles in 2005 at Usher’s request. She continued to work with some of the industry’s predominant music labels and their artists. These included Sony BMG, Virgin Records, Interscope, Def Jam, Capitol, Universal and Columbia to name a few.

Jo’s quotes and makeup reviews can be seen frequently- she has been interviewed by Glamour Magazine, People Magazine, InStyle, Russain Instyle, C Magazine, US Weekly as a contributing Beauty Editor, OK Magazine, Violet Grey, New Beauty Magazine, and has also had a featured segment on Access Hollywood. Jo has in 2014 alone created looks for Sharon Stone, Annie Lennox, Winona Ryder, Rita Ora, Emmy Rossum, Chrystal Renn, Naya Rivera, Nicole Scherzinger, Angela Lindvall, Lily Rabe and Teresa Palmer.

Obsessed with symmetry, lines, perfection and details, Jo has saved retouching budgets with her flawless work. Her ultra hygienic approach, perfected technique and fabulous on-set personality have celebrities, producers, photographers and ad agencies flocking to book her.
