George Economopoulos Editorial Fashion

George Economopoulos’ first contact with photography came at the age of fifteen, as a trainee in the darkroom and graphic design studios of the Lambrakis Press Foundation. He graduated from high school of applied arts and then he oriented his studies in photography at the “FOCUS” College of Photography & Video. Then, he extended his studies, having gained a state scholarship from the Dutch Ministry of Education, at the “KABK” Royal Academy of Art, Photography Department, Hague (Netherlands). In 1999, after returning from the Netherlands, he started working at the Lambrakis Press Foundation as a photojournalist, for the two major newspapers of the country: “TO VIMA”, “TA NEA” Sunday and daily press. At the same time, he had the chance to collaborate with numerous domestic and foreign newspapers, magazines and organisations, such as VIMAgazino – Der Spiegel – Geotropio – Sports Illustrated – VIMA GOURMET – MARIE CLAIRE – KRONENZAITUNG – University of Athens – University of Peloponnese – The British Council, etc.

The long experience in photojournalism gives spontaneous photographs that incorporate the truth of the instant, while our love and passion for art, portrait and fashion photography endow the images with character.
